We had a serious hot bite! For at least an hour we had boilers in the corner. Jumpers everywhere. Free swimmers next to the boat! It was awesome!

Dave and a couple of his buddies Drove 5 hours from Oraville to partake in the Excellent Albacore Fishery here in Monterey. They went out on 08/26/2003 aboard the vessel CHUBASCO. There were a total of 6 Anglers for the day that returned with 65 Albacore all weighing 20-30 pounds each. Dave managed to land 12 of those feisty fish.

We departed Virgs Landing at around 11:00 PM and headed towards Arguello Canyon. Our bait tanks were already loaded with "San Diego Sardines."

We started trolling early in the morning before gray light. Here is Freddy Reyes with the first fish of our trip on the first troll rotation! Welcome back Freddy!
